Intel appoints new CEO to lead recovery efforts
Lip-Bu Tan has been appointed CEO of Intel as the company works to strengthen its position in the semiconductor market.
Tan, originally from Malaysia, has a background in nuclear engineering from MIT and an MBA from California.
He founded Walden International in 1987, focusing on early-stage semiconductor investments.
As the former CEO of Cadence Design Systems, Tan revived the company and secured partnerships with TSMC and Apple.
