Instagram has launched a live location-sharing option within its direct messages, allowing users to share their real-time location for up to one hour.

Users can pin locations on a map to coordinate meetups or navigate crowded places.

It can be stopped at any time and includes an indicator when active. The feature is currently available in select countries.

The platform also now allows users to set nicknames in DMs.

These nicknames are visible in the chat but do not affect usernames on the platform. By default, users who follow each other can update nicknames.
