Insight Partners joins $30m series B for AI security startup Reco

Reco, a SaaS and AI security startup, has raised US$30 million in series B funding, bringing its total to US$85 million.

The round was led by Zeev Ventures, with participation from existing investors Insight Partners, Boldstart Ventures, and Angular Ventures, plus new investors including Workday Ventures, TIAA Ventures, S Ventures, and Quadrille Capital.

The funding follows less than 10 months after its previous raise, amid rising enterprise AI adoption.

Reco highlights that most AI tools are used without IT approval, increasing security risks as AI-driven SaaS applications expand the attack surface.

The company reported 500% year-on-year growth in 2024 and a 400% rise in 2025, with clients including Fortune 500 firms across multiple sectors.

The company plans to use the funds for hiring and expanding its AI security offerings.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Investors are betting on rapid execution, not just a market trend

  • This round landed less than 10 months after Reco’s previous raise, which signals strong investor confidence 1.
  • Lead investor Oren Zeev said his approach is to “double down on what’s working.” He used the same playbook with Navan (a corporate travel and expense management platform) and Tipalti (accounts payable automation software) 1.
  • Customer names mentioned include UiPath and Monday.com, plus other enterprise buyers. Those examples support the Fortune 500 customer claim 1.
  • Reco says its AppFactory adds new SaaS integrations in 2 to 3 days and supports over 215 apps 2.

The era of the IT-approved software list is over

  • Business software now spreads faster than corporate IT and security teams can review it. 71% of knowledge workers use AI tools without IT approval 2.
  • Security teams can no longer count on blocking every unapproved app. They need visibility into tools used across the company 2.
  • Security budgets are getting another look. More spend goes to continuous discovery tools since traditional defenses miss threats tied to unknown applications 3.
  • Dynamic visibility platforms are starting to look like a standard part of the enterprise security stack, similar to endpoint protection.
