Ingka Group buys AI logistics firm Locus to boost Ikea deliveries

Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, has acquired Locus, a US-based logistics tech company specializing in AI-powered delivery management.

The deal aims to improve IKEA’s home delivery system by bringing Locus’ tech in-house.

IKEA has previously relied on multiple third-party providers for its delivery logistics.

Locus provides route optimization, real-time tracking, and tools to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Ingka Investments said Locus will remain operationally independent and continue serving partners beyond Ingka Group.
