Infosys lowers FY27 growth forecast as IT spending slows
Infosys, an India-based IT outsourcer, cut its constant-currency revenue growth forecast to 1% to 2% for the year through March 2027, as clients cut spending on large IT projects.
The new forecast is below the 1.5% to 3% range it gave in July and adds to signs of a broader slowdown in India’s software services sector.
For the quarter through September, Infosys reported net income of 78.2 billion rupees (US$825 million), slightly below analysts’ average estimate of 79 billion rupees (US$833 million).
Earlier coverage also highlighted sector weakness, including Wipro’s weak forecast and expectations that a demand slowdown would weigh on IT services firms’ first-quarter results.
Separately, Infosys previously disclosed large-deal total contract value of US$4.5 billion in Q4 FY24 and US$17.7 billion for FY24. Those historical figures do not show current deal momentum.
