Infosys lands AI software deal from IHH Healthcare

IHH Healthcare has awarded Infosys a seven-year contract to build and deploy an AI-driven enterprise resource planning platform based on Oracle.

The Malaysia-listed hospital operator and owner of Fortis Healthcare aims to centralise procurement and reduce costs through the project.

IHH did not disclose the contract value, though IT industry experts estimated it could be worth a few hundred million dollars, depending on the deployment scope and contract length.

The project is a first step that could later support outsourcing IHH’s finance and accounting functions.

Infosys won the deal after a year-long process in which it pitched how AI would enhance Oracle’s standard ERP system.

The new platform is expected to help consolidate purchasing across the hospital group’s supply chain and lower costs.
