InDrive launches Shariah-compliant loans for ID drivers
On Feb. 27, mobility platform inDrive launched its first fintech service in the Asia-Pacific region called inDrive.Money.
This service is developed in partnership with Singapore-based financial group Fingular and Ammana, an Indonesian peer-to-peer lending platform that follows Shariah principles.
Through the inDrive app, drivers can access loans up to 10 million rupiah (around US$607) to help cover urgent expenses, including vehicle repairs.
Funding is managed by Ammana, with loan repayments made from ride earnings over three to five months.
The service features a 10 to 15% commission on rides, with monthly payments based on ride frequency and income.
The pilot phase began in late 2024, and the service is currently available in cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Makassar.
Indonesia is a key market for inDrive, which plans to further expand its fintech and urban service offerings in the country.
