Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Indonesia Technology Alliance, and Tsinghua University Wuxi Research Institute of Applied Technologies have signed an MoU to set up an AI application cooperation center in Indonesia.

The agreement was signed at Tsinghua University during the China–ASEAN AI Ministerial Roundtable 2025, witnessed by Indonesia’s deputy ambassador to China.

The center will focus on practical AI applications in sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture.

The initiative may also lay the groundwork for future cooperation between Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital and China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

The AI center is expected to begin operations in early 2026.
