Indosat H1 revenue rises 13.1% as AI cloud grows
Indonesia’s Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, a Jakarta-listed telecom operator, said on July 28 that its first-half 2026 revenue rose 13.1% year on year to 30.7 trillion rupiah (US$1.69 billion).
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased 14% to 14.6 trillion rupiah (US$803 million).
Normalized net profit attributable to owners of the parent reached 3.2 trillion rupiah (US$176 million).
Data traffic rose 19.9%, average revenue per user climbed 17.3% to 46,000 rupiah (US$2.5) and Indosat’s mobile subscriber base stood at 93.4 million as of June 30.
Indosat is Indonesia’s second-largest mobile operator, behind Telkomsel.
Indosat said its AI Cloud business generated US$33 million in the first half, surpassing the business’s full-year 2025 revenue of US$28 million.
It also said the establishment of PT Infra Fiber Teknologi with Arsari Group involved transferring management of more than 86,000 kilometers of fiber infrastructure, for about 11.7 trillion rupiah (US$644 million) in gross proceeds as part of a more asset-light model.
Indosat also said it recently secured 80 MHz of spectrum across the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands, although Tech in Asia could not independently verify the award.
