Indonesia’s TikTok Shop reports 40% sales increase in Ramadan
TikTok Shop by Tokopedia, the e-commerce platform formed from the merger of TikTok Shop and Tokopedia in March 2024, has reported an increase in sellers and transactions during Ramadan 2025.
Melissa Siska Juminto, President Director of Tokopedia and TikTok E-Commerce, provided this update at an event in Jakarta on Mar. 17, 2025.
Juminto indicated a 40% increase in sales on the platform during Ramadan compared to last year. She also noted a rise in the number of local sellers using the platform.
In the first week of Ramadan, TikTok users uploaded 72 million short videos, a significant increase from the previous year. Juminto attributed this growth to heightened seller activity and promotional content on the platform.
