Indonesia’s Komunal raises $5.5m from Sumitomo, others

Indonesian fintech startup Komunal has raised US$5.5 million in an extended series A round from Sumitomo, Jafco Asia, and Gobi Partners, among others.

In January 2023, Komunal, which focuses on bringing rural community banks online, raised US$8.5 million in a round led by East Ventures.
