Indonesia’s fintech firm AwanTunai raises $60m debt facility

Indonesia-based fintech firm AwanTunai has secured a US$60 million syndicated debt facility.

The funding is led by Accial Capital with contributions from various investors, aiming to enhance financial access for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia.

The country’s MSME sector faces a substantial funding gap of US$165 billion, leaving many businesses underfunded.

Established in 2017, AwanTunai provides digital lending services designed to bolster cash flow and productivity for businesses in the consumer goods sector.

Over 35% of AwanTunai’s clients are female-led businesses.
