Indonesia’s Danantara to contribute $48b for domestic investment
Indonesia’s finance ministry Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa projects state-owned enterprises, including Danantara, will contribute 720 trillion rupiah (US$48 billion) to domestic investment in 2026, and 980 trillion rupiah (US$65.3 billion) by 2029.
Danantara is a state-backed entity focused on national investment.
Finance ministry estimates for 2026 show total domestic investment reaching 7,450 trillion rupiah (US$496.7 billion), with the private sector at 6,200 trillion rupiah (US$413.3 billion), state firms and Danantara at 720 trillion rupiah (US$48 billion), and government at 530 trillion rupiah (US$35.3 billion).
By 2029, total investment is expected to hit 10,000 trillion rupiah (US$666.7 billion), with private sector contributions of 8,300 trillion rupiah (US$553.3 billion), state firms and Danantara at 980 trillion rupiah (US$65.3 billion), and government at 710 trillion rupiah (US$47.3 billion).
Cumulatively, from 2025 to 2029, the private sector is projected to account for 84% of national investment, state firms and Danantara 9%, and government 7%.
