Indonesian gov’t plans to create local version of DeepSeek
The Indonesian government is working on an AI model inspired by the open-source AI DeepSeek.
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Chairman of the National Economic Council, confirmed this initiative and said it will be presented to the President within two weeks.
The AI model will support both English and Indonesian, which aligns with the country’s digitalization goals.
A team of young Indonesian developers is involved in this project.
