Indonesian government launches AI talent factory

The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has announced the launch of the AI Talent Factory program, which aims to develop Indonesia’s AI ecosystem.

The initiative seeks to address a digital talent gap currently estimated at 3 million, with a projected need for 12 million digital professionals by 2030.

The AI Talent Factory program will prepare participants to support national strategic projects in sectors such as healthcare, education, financial services, and agriculture.

This new initiative builds on previous programs like the Digital Talent Scholarship and Digital Leadership Academy, which have been operating for the past five years.

The government aims to finalize the establishment of the AI Talent Factory within three months.
