Flip, described as Indonesia’s biggest independent financial technology group, has named Mohammed Alabsi as its new chief technology officer.

Alabsi previously spent over a decade at Amazon in Seattle, where he was part of the founding teams that built AWS, ad, and B2B commerce businesses, and later held senior technology roles in Indonesia.

Founded in 2015, Flip began as a free interbank transfer service and now offers remittances, bill payments, lifestyle solutions, and business services to over 16 million users.
