Indonesian EV logistics provider Blitz raises pre-series A
Blitz Electric Mobility, an Indonesia-based EV logistics provider, has raised an undisclosed pre-series A round led by Malaysia’s Vynn Capital.
The round also included Iterative Capital, Balaji Srinivasan, Rajesh Venkatesh, Vinner Ventures, and earlier backers such as ADB Ventures and Peak XV.
Blitz operates a logistics platform focused on last-mile delivery using a fleet of EVs. The company claims over 14 million deliveries and operations in 60 cities.
Blitz was added to Nvidia’s Inception program and has integrated its EV fleet with Grab’s platform.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand across Indonesia and improve operational efficiency.
CEO Saivya Chauhan said Blitz will focus on scaling its core business and increasing profitability.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Financial discipline becomes critical as logistics funding environment tightens
Blitz’s 2024 performance demonstrates the operational discipline that investors now demand from logistics startups.
The company tripled its revenue while cutting its burn rate by over 70%, positioning itself well in a challenging funding landscape where logistics venture capital has declined nearly 90% from its 2021 peak2.
This financial turnaround likely contributed to Blitz’s successful fundraising, as investors increasingly focus on startups that can demonstrate clear paths to profitability rather than growth-at-all-costs models.
The shift toward sustainable unit economics reflects broader market conditions where last-mile delivery companies must prove operational efficiency to secure funding in today’s more selective investment environment.
2️⃣ Indonesia’s massive two-wheeler market creates substantial electrification opportunity
Blitz operates in one of the world’s largest untapped markets for electric vehicle logistics transformation.
Indonesia has approximately 126 million mopeds and motorbikes, ranking third globally after India and China, yet the electric two-wheeler market was valued at only $108 million in 20243.
