Indonesian crypto exchange Indodax begins restoring services

Indodax, an Indonesia-based crypto exchange, said it began restoring services on October 31 after suspending deposits and withdrawals when it detected unusual activity on October 29.

The company said its security review found no asset losses, unauthorized transfers, or user data leaks across its trading systems, wallets, and accounts.

Indodax said services were reopening in stages after repairs and security checks. It also advised users to enable two-factor authentication (2FA) and avoid unknown links or software.

The disruption followed a shift in crypto-asset oversight in Indonesia from the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti) to the Financial Services Authority (OJK). A separate flow-of-funds report analyzed a previous Indodax hack.
