Indonesian AI infrastructure firm Zankore secures $3.1b loan
Zankore, an Indonesia-focused AI infrastructure platform launched with Ooredoo Group, Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, Nvidia, and Nokia, said on September 9 that it is building an initial 100 MW of Nvidia AI infrastructure and has signed a senior term loan facility of up to US$3.1 billion to fund Nvidia graphics processing unit infrastructure.
The company said the capacity will support AI cloud services for customers in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
At its August 6 launch, Zankore said it was targeting 1 GW of Nvidia DSX AI Factory capacity, with about 200 MW planned for the first half of 2027.
Citi was the exclusive debt adviser. Citi, ING, Natixis CIB, Qatar National Bank Group, and United Overseas Bank acted as senior mandated lead arrangers, underwriters, and bookrunners for the facility.
The project is entering Indonesia’s data center market, where multiple commercial facilities are already operating, as the country is expected to need data centers for AI growth.
Nvidia says its products are subject to US export laws. Indonesian rules govern processing and storage by electronic-system operators, while localization debates have focused on some public-sector and strategic data.
