Indonesia will build Asia’s first Quantum AI Data Center, backed by an initial investment of 6 trillion rupiah (US$368.5 million).

The project was formalized on July 9, 2025, through a strategic partnership between Silicon Valley’s Worldvuer iByond Limited and Tunas Prima Industrial Estate in Jakarta, with support from the Ministry of Investment and BKPM.

The data center will be located in Tunas Prima Industrial Estate, Batam, Riau Islands.

This area uses renewable energy sources, including solar panels and independent water processing facilities. It has previously attracted global manufacturers like Apple.

Deputy Minister of Investment Todotua Pasaribu noted that this collaboration aims to build a robust digital future for Asia.

Worldvuer iByond Limited, recognized for its Vovea iByond Operating System, combines quantum computing, AI, and big data analytics. It aims to improve processing speed and capacity beyond traditional data centers.

The company is also seeking further partnerships in the energy and telecommunications sectors with local entities. This includes Telkom Group and the Ministry of Communication and Digital.
