Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has temporarily suspended the electronic system operator registration (TDPSE) of TikTok Pte. Ltd.

The suspension follows TikTok’s partial compliance in submitting data related to its livestreaming activities during protests held from August 25 to 30.

Authorities said the company did not fully meet regulatory requirements, providing only limited information on traffic, livestreams, and monetization activities, including gifts.

Officials requested TikTok clarify these matters on September 16 and set a deadline of September 23 for complete data submission.

TikTok responded in an official letter that its internal policies prevent the company from sharing certain data.

Despite the suspension, TikTok’s platform and live feature remain accessible in Indonesia.
