Indonesia’s Presidential Staff Office (KSP) denied claims of a data breach following social media reports of a cyberattack.

Muhammad Qodari, KSP’s deputy chief, said extensive checks showed no hacking occurred while affirming the system’s security.

Concerns arose from a Twitter account, @stealthemole_int, which alleged that over 3,000 pieces of data from KSP’s official website were leaked.

The unverified breach was said to include a 1.3-gigabyte SQL database.

This incident highlights a trend of cyberattacks on government agencies.

To tackle these threats, Indonesia recently formed a Cyber Force unit. Previous breaches include a teacher’s arrest in September for hacking the National Civil Service Agency’s website.
