Indonesia has ordered large ecommerce platforms including Shopee, TikTok Shop, and Lazada to cut service fees by at least 50% for verified micro and small enterprises that sell only Indonesian-made goods.

The mandate falls under a ministerial regulation that took effect on June 17, 2026.

The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises said the discount applies to each transaction involving domestic products.

Eligible sellers must apply through the government’s Sapa UMKM system.

Platforms may reject or stop the discount if a seller offers imported or other non-domestic products. Sellers can submit clarifications or objections to the platform under procedures to be set by the minister.
