Indonesia lifts TikTok ban after data shared

Indonesia has lifted a suspension on TikTok’s local operating license after the platform shared data requested by the government.

Authorities said TikTok provided details on livestream traffic and monetization activity for the period of August 25-30, 2025 following earlier requests tied to user activity during protests after a delivery driver’s death.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs had suspended TikTok’s license on October 3, 2025 for not fully complying with a data request, despite partial submissions.

TikTok had previously cited internal policy restrictions as reasons for not sharing all the information.
