India’s Wipro to raise Aggne stake to 80% by June 30
Indian IT services firm Wipro said in a regulatory filing that it will buy an additional 20% stake in Aggne Global IT Services Private Limited for US$2.1 million in cash, taking its holding to 80%.
The transaction is expected to close by June 30, 2026.
The move follows Wipro’s announcement earlier in June that it would raise its stake in US-based affiliate Aggne Global Inc to 80% for US$28.5 million, after acquiring 60% stakes in both Aggne entities in February 2024.
Aggne is an insurance technology group based in Florida with a Hyderabad-based affiliate that serves property and casualty insurers and markets cloud, automation, and software upgrade tools for insurance carriers.
Wipro said the latest purchase would strengthen its position in insurance, particularly in AI- and intellectual property-led work for the property and casualty segment.
Aggne Group’s annual turnover was US$27.5 million in the year ended March 31, 2026.
