India’s Velocity launches quick delivery service Shipfast

Bengaluru-based Velocity has launched a shipping platform, Shipfast, offering 4-hour, same-day, and next-day delivery options to improve order fulfillment and operational efficiency for businesses.

This initiative addresses Indian consumers’ growing demand for faster shipping, with a McKinsey study revealing that nearly half of online shoppers abandon purchases due to delays or unclear timelines.

While many D2C brands use platforms like Zepto and Blinkit, some manage shipping internally to lower costs, though they face issues like delays and inaccurate tracking.

Shipfast aims to resolve these challenges with optimized workflows and AI-based tools designed to enhance delivery processes and customer satisfaction.

Backed by US$30 million in funding from Valar Ventures, Velocity partners with Delhivery, Ekart, and Shadowfax to provide extensive logistics coverage across India.
