India’s Paytm gets approval to add more users

India’s multinational fintech company Paytm has received permission from the National Payments Corporation of India to resume adding new users to its Unified Payments Interface platform.

This development follows an eight-month suspension imposed on the company.

Competitors, including PhonePe and Google Pay, currently dominate the sector with 87% market control.

Paytm’s share has decreased from 13% to 8% due to restrictions imposed earlier this year.
