India’s Morphle Labs raises $5m series A to expand globally
Morphle Labs, a healthcare automation company based in Bengaluru, has secured US$5 million in series A funding from Inflexor Ventures.
Morphle Labs plans to use the funds to grow its team, increase manufacturing capacity, seek regulatory approvals, and expand internationally, especially in the US and Europe.
The new investment will also support further research and development in medical device automation.
The company develops robotic and imaging systems for cancer diagnostics, including its main products RoboTome, a robotic microtome for slicing biopsy samples, and MorphoLens, a high-throughput slide scanner.
Founded in 2017, the company focuses on automating histopathology processes, an area that remains largely manual in many labs.
Morphle Labs employs about 100 people and has filed more than 80 patents covering robotics, optics, and imaging.
The team is led by CEO Rohit Hiwale, CTO Ashish Manmode, and COO Sunnel Daniel.
