Juspay, a Bangalore-based payments technology company, said on September 8 that it had expanded its partnership with travel marketplace Wego, which has headquarters in Singapore and Dubai.

The partnership will add local payment providers and methods as Wego enters new Middle East markets.

The companies said Wego can use Juspay’s payment orchestration layer to connect with more than 300 payment service providers and acquirers worldwide without building separate integrations for each market.

Wego said the partnership improved payment performance through higher authorization rates, supported by transaction routing, 3D Secure optimization, and automated retries, but it did not disclose figures.

More broadly, online travel merchants use orchestration to improve approvals across multiple providers and geographies.

The expansion also reflects the region’s payment mix. Around 70% of shoppers in the Gulf Cooperation Council choose local payment methods.

Wego also said in July that it was the most downloaded online travel app in MENA.
