India’s W Health Ventures raises $60.7m to back healthcare startups

W Health Ventures has announced the initial close of its second fund at 550 crore rupees (US$60.7 million), with a target of 630 crore rupees (US$65.5 million), to support the development of healthcare companies in India and the US-India corridor.

The firm plans to build and scale 8 to 10 new companies over the next four years, investing 30 to 50 crore rupees (US$3.3 million – US$5.5 million) per incubate.

Its first fund included companies such as Nivaan (chronic pain), BeatO (diabetes), and Wysa (AI mental health), all of which have raised external funding.

The first company from fund II, Everhope Oncology, is a cancer care platform in India developed with Narayana Health, aiming to integrate global oncology advances into patient-centered care.

W Health Ventures also has ongoing projects in psychiatry treatment and is exploring opportunities in longevity, preventive health, geriatrics, and chronic pain management.
