India’s Gupshup rolls out self-service Voice AI platform
Gupshup, a conversational AI and customer engagement software company based in Mumbai and San Francisco, launched a self-service Voice AI Platform on September 1.
The no-code console lets businesses build, test, and deploy AI-powered voice agents for phone-based customer support, sales, and operations.
The product extends Gupshup’s existing WhatsApp, Rich Communication Services, and SMS infrastructure into voice.
It supports the public switched telephone network and WhatsApp voice channels, on-premise or cloud deployment, and a choice of speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and large language model providers.
WhatsApp’s Business Platform supports calling. The company also introduced a dedicated business calling application programming interface (API), and Twilio said the feature is available through its voice product.
Gupshup said the platform includes simulations, automated tests, transcripts, debug logs, and analytics.
It is available at voiceai.gupshup.io with 100 free minutes and pricing starting at US$0.035 per minute.
The launch comes as enterprises assess a crowded field of AI voice agent vendors.
In the US, the Federal Communications Commission said AI-generated voice calls fall under Telephone Consumer Protection Act robocall rules, and some uses require consent.
