Indian EV maker converts to public firm ahead of 2025 IPO
Pure EV, an EV manufacturer based in India, has converted its parent company, PuR Energy, into a public entity ahead of its planned IPO in 2025.
The board approved the change from PuR Energy Pvt Ltd to PuR Energy Ltd in September 2024 to meet stock exchange listing requirements.
Founded in 2015 by Nishanth Dongari and Rohit Vadera, Pure EV produces electric two-wheelers like the eePluto 7G MAX and eTrance Neo+.
The company plans to introduce solid-state battery technology with UK-based PDSL by FY 2026.
In February 2024, it secured US$8 million in funding from investors, including Bennett Coleman and Company Limited, Hindustan Times Media Ventures, and Ushodaya Enterprises.
This move comes amid rising IPO activity in the electric mobility sector, with Ather Energy and Greaves Electric Mobility also preparing to go public. The trend reflects a broader surge in tech IPOs across India.
