Indian VC firm ValleyNXT launches $44.1m early-stage fund
ValleyNXT Ventures has announced the launch of its 400 crore rupees (US$44.1 million) Bharat Breakthrough Fund–I, a SEBI-registered venture capital fund based in India.
The fund aims to support early-stage startups in sectors such as space, defense tech, robotics, AI/ML, cybersecurity, biotech, sustainability, and consumer innovation through a combined VC and accelerator model.
The initiative seeks to address the “Valley of Death” in startup development, focusing on the gap between validation and scaling phases.
The fund has a target corpus of 200 crore rupees (US$22 million), with an option to raise an additional 200 crore rupees (US$22 million) via greenshoe, and will prioritize deep-tech and tech-first companies.
ValleyNXT Ventures has previously supported over 5,000 deals and invested in more than 10 startups through its network and accelerator programs.
