Indian VC firm Finvolve hits $9.4m in first close
Finvolve, a Gurugram-based multi-stage venture capital firm, said in September 2026 that it had reached a first close of 900 million rupees (US$9.4 million) for a new 2.5 billion rupees (US$26.1 million) fund.
The fund targets Indian growth-stage and late-stage startups in defense and aerospace, frontier and strategic technology, energy, and consumer sectors.
The firm said the fund would make 30 to 35 investments over the next three to four years, with a final close expected within six months.
Finvolve described itself as a multi-stage venture capital fund and said it was registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, though this fund’s specific registration category was not disclosed.
Its public materials also show a pre-seed portfolio, while a separate listing references a pre-initial public offering fund, indicating activity across early and later stages.
The launch comes as India’s defense-tech ecosystem has grown, and the government has outlined a national deep-tech startup policy framework for strategic sectors.
