Indian VC firm 888 launches $19.8m fund for AI, deeptech startups

888 VC, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Bengaluru, has launched a 175 crore rupees (US$19.8 million) fund to invest in Indian startups focused on AI, deep tech, and sustainability.

The fund will target investments of 2 crore rupees (US$240,000) to 4 crore rupees (US$482,000) per startup over the next three years, with a focus on companies aiming for global markets.

888 VC also introduced GRO8, a platform for cross-border investment and mentorship, which will offer services such as capital access, mentorship, and market connections.

The firm said it has previously invested in over 20 startups and deployed more than US$12 million through syndicated capital, with operations in India, the United Arab Emirates, and the US.
