Indian tech firm launches 10-minute diagnostic drone delivery

Apollo Hospitals has partnered with TechEagle to launch a drone-based service for delivering diagnostic samples in India.

The initiative aims to transport liquid biopsy samples for cancer detection from collection centers to laboratories within 10 minutes using AI-powered autonomous drones.

TechEagle, founded in 2017, specializes in autonomous drone logistics and operates in the beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) segment.

Its Vertiplane X3 drone has a 100 km range, a 5 kg payload capacity, and speeds up to 120 km/h.

TechEagle founder and CEO Vikram Singh Meena highlighted that the service will improve the speed and efficiency of healthcare logistics, addressing delays in diagnostics.

This initiative is part of broader advancements in India’s drone sector, which has seen recent certifications and investments.

TechEagle has previously collaborated with AIIMS, Swiggy, and state governments.
