Seven Indian startups join US space, defense tech program

Seven Indian startups have been selected for a new India-US space and defense collaboration program focused on dual-use technology.

Initiated in September 2024 by Indusbridge Ventures and US-based FedTech, the program aims to connect startups with the US Defense Innovation Unit, Department of Defense, and other government agencies.

The selected companies include KaleidEO, a space imaging firm, rocket manufacturer EtherealX, and AI-driven technology company Shyam VNL.

These startups will develop projects related to satellite observation and space and defense tech while receiving mentorship, resources, and industry connections.

The initiative could open doors to partnerships with US defense leaders like Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.
