Indian speech AI startup Navana raises $800k pre-series A

Navana.ai, an Indian-language speech AI company, has raised 7 crore rupees (US$800,000) in a pre-series A funding round.

The investment was led by Antler India, with participation from investors Ajay Agarwal, Ronnie Screwvala, and Sandeep Singhal.

This brings the company’s total funding to 13.2 crore rupees (US$1.5 million).

Founded by Raoul and Jai Nanavati, Navana.ai develops AI models for over 12 Indian languages, accents, and dialects, and serves more than 40 enterprise clients.

Its key offerings include the Bodhi Voicebot Platform, speech recognition APIs for regional languages, and contact center intelligence tools for industries like banking and telecom.

Clients such as Bajaj Finserv and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank use Navana.ai’s voice tech for multilingual customer support and loan processing.

With the new funding, Navana.ai aims to expand digital accessibility in India through its voice-first AI technology.
