Indian skincare firm raises $7.5m to develop new products

Bengaluru-based direct-to-consumer skincare brand Deconstruct has secured 65 crore rupees (around US$7.5 million) in a funding round led by L’Oréal’s venture capital arm, BOLD.

V3 Ventures and DSG Consumer Partners also participated, along with existing investors Kalaari Capital and BeeNext.

Deconstruct plans to use the funds to develop new products, expand its range, and enhance its distribution network through quick commerce platforms and retail channels.

Founded in 2020 by Malini Adapureddy, Deconstruct specializes in evidence-based skincare products, including serums, sunscreens, and shampoos.

This funding round brings its total capital raised to US$10 million, highlighting investor confidence in India’s thriving direct-to-consumer market, which saw US$595 million in investments across 115 deals in 2024.
