Indian no-code voice AI startup Ringg AI bags $5.5m series A

Ringg AI, a Bangalore-based no-code voice AI platform, raised US$5.5 million in a series A round led by Arkam Ventures, with participation from Groww’s Founder Fund, Kunal Shah, White Venture Capital, and existing investor Capital2B.

The company plans to use the funds to expand engineering and sales teams, accelerate product development, and enter new markets, including international regions.

Founded in October 2023, Ringg AI offers a platform for designing and managing AI voice agents supporting 18 languages, including Indian languages, English, Arabic, and Spanish.

The platform handles around 1.5 million customer conversations per month, with nearly 77% fully automated.

Ringg aims to scale to 100 million conversations monthly by 2027 and launch new products like call-deflection agents and AI-native CRM.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

US and GCC expansion plans bring compliance and integration questions

  • Ringg AIs planned expansion into the US and GCC, alongside pilots in Dubai and North America, is being met with unanswered questions about enterprise readiness for regulated sectors like banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) and healthcare.
  • Compliance with call authentication mandates like the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) STIR/SHAKEN framework (a US caller-ID authentication system designed to reduce illegal robocalls) needs to be confirmed. STIR/SHAKEN implementation is required in the IP portions of voice service providers networks, subject to certain extensions and exemptions. 1
  • How the platform will adapt to proposed FCC rules on verified caller identity information for calls where an A-level attestation indicator is shown on a consumer handset needs clarification. 1
  • With pilots in North America, the approach to FCC proposals requiring gateway providers to mark calls originating from outside the U.S. should be reviewed. 1

Higher AI voice-call volumes could lift demand for telecom compliance tools

  • Telecom carriers, Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) platforms (cloud services for voice and messaging), and regulatory technology (RegTech) vendors (software providers that help companies meet regulatory requirements) may see more demand as AI voice platforms like Ringg AI scale.
  • If Ringg AI reaches its goal of scaling interactions 10x over the next 12 months, automated outbound calls could drive more purchases of tools that track changing telecom rules in North America.
  • Vendors may build products that support Rich Call Data (RCD) as a standards-based method to transmit verified caller identity information such as caller name and potentially links to logos and other data via a digitally signed token within the STIR/SHAKEN framework. 1
  • Service providers may also sell support for cross-border calling, including foreign-origin indicators and guidance on FCC proposals that would prohibit spoofing of U.S. telephone numbers for calls that originate from outside of the United States. 1
