Indian neuroscience startup raises $5m pre-series A
Bengaluru-based startup BrainSightAI has raised US$5 million in its pre-Series A funding round.
The round was led by IAN Alpha Fund and included participation from IvyCap Ventures, Silver Needle, and existing investors.
Founded in 2019 by Laina Emmanuel and Dr. Rimjhim Agrawal, BrainSightAI focuses on neuroinformatics with its platform, VoxelBox.
The company collaborates with over 40 hospitals in India, primarily targeting neurosurgery and brain tumor cases.
The funds raised will help BrainSightAI increase its presence in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India.
The company also aims to obtain FDA certification for entry into the United States market.
