Indian mortgage-tech Easy raises $35m, plans 150 locations

Easy, a startup specializing in mortgage technology, has secured US$35 million in a Series B funding round.

Claypond Capital and the Asia Rising Fund of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation led the investment, with participation from Xponentia Capital and Finsight Ventures.

Easy has accumulated over US$100 million in equity and debt funding. The new capital will enable the company to grow its assets under management to US$300 million over the next two years.

Easy also aims to expand its network to more than 150 locations across India, backed by a group of over 20 banks and financial institutions.
