Indian logistics firm Zippee launches a 60-min delivery service
Zippee, a quick commerce logistics startup, has launched Blaze, a 60-minute delivery service for ecommerce marketplaces in India.
The service is now live in NCR, Bangalore, and Mumbai, with plans to expand to five more cities soon.
Blaze will deliver products across categories like supplements, food and beverages, home decor, fashion, skincare, and pet supplies.
Founded in 2021, Zippee runs a network of dark stores and last-mile fleets across 13 cities. It offers same-day, two-hour, and now 60-minute deliveries for eligible SKUs.
The company integrates directly with brands and platforms, aiming to solve long delivery times seen with traditional courier systems.
Backed by US$8.5 million in funding from South Asia Technology Partners, Haldiram Snacks, and angel investors like Kunal Shah and Peyush Bansal, Zippee expects 17% of its shipments to use Blaze by Q2 FY2026.

🧠 Food for thought
1️⃣ Quick commerce represents a fundamental shift in retail infrastructure beyond groceries
Quick commerce’s expansion from groceries to categories like fashion, supplements, and home decor signals a structural change in India’s retail infrastructure, not just a temporary trend.
The sector is projected to grow from $38.9 billion in 2023 to $303.3 billion by 2030, representing one of the fastest-growing segments in Indian e-commerce 1.
Quick delivery already accounts for approximately $5 billion (45%) of online grocery sales in India, showing substantial consumer adoption 2.
This expansion is driving major infrastructure investments, with established players like Blinkit operating in over 30 cities with approximately 125,000 daily orders, while newer entrants like Zepto have set up over 200 micro-distribution centers across 10 cities 3.
Zippee’s entrance with its Blaze service demonstrates how the infrastructure required for rapid delivery is now extending to specialized marketplaces.
2️⃣ The rise of ‘enabler’ startups is creating a new ecosystem layer in e-commerce
Zippee represents a growing category of “enabler” startups that empower existing brands and marketplaces rather than creating their own consumer-facing platforms.
