Indian investment platform Groww files for $796m IPO

Groww, an online investment platform based in Bengaluru, has filed updated IPO papers with SEBI for a 6,000 crore rupee (US$683 million) to 7,000 crore rupee (US$796.9 million) listing.

The IPO includes a new issue of 1,060 crore rupee (US$120.7 million) and an offer-for-sale of 574 million shares worth around 5,000 crore rupee (US$569.2 million) to 6,000 crore rupee (US$683 million).

Shareholders such as Peak XV Partners, Y Combinator, Ribbit Capital, Tiger Global, and Kauffman Fellows Fund will participate.

Founders Lalit Keshre, Harsh Jain, Neeraj Singh, and Ishan Bansal will each sell 1 million shares.

Groww reported a net profit of 1,824 crore rupee (US$207.6 million) in FY25 and a 31% year-on-year revenue rise to 4,056 crore rupee (US$461.7 million).

The platform has 12.58 million NSE active clients as of June 2025. Recently, it expanded into wealth management, margin trading facility (MTF), commodities, and loans against shares.
