Indian home diagnostics firm Inito raises $29m series B

Inito, an India-based at-home diagnostics firm, has raised US$29 million in a series B round led by Bertelsmann India Investments and co-led by existing investor Fireside Ventures.

This brings Inito’s total equity funding to US$45 million.

The new funding will support the development of additional at-home diagnostic tests.

The company, which launched a fertility monitor in 2021, is expanding its platform to offer broader at-home hormone and health diagnostics using AI-engineered antibodies.

Inito’s fertility monitor enables users to measure hormone biomarkers such as FSH, estrogen, LH, and PdG at home.

Inito has teams in cities including Dubai, Bangalore, and London.

🧠 Food for thought

Implications, context, and why it matters.

Telehealth and retail can play a larger role in at-home hormone testing

  • Competitors such as Everlywell and LetsGetChecked include physician-reviewed results or clinician support 3. These offerings create room for platforms to bundle guidance and simplify payment flows.
  • Hormone levels shift over days, so some kits need repeated testing, including Oova’s perimenopause kit; Oova is a home hormone testing startup 3. This pattern drives recurring fulfillment, which suits subscription partnerships with platforms like Inito for last-mile delivery.
  • Retailers that target the 85% of women with menopause symptoms can offer in-store consultations to address accuracy worries with finger-prick tests 3. The service positions stores between full clinical lab testing and unsupported direct-to-consumer options 3.
