Indian healthtech startup Truemeds to raise $44m series C
Mumbai-based healthtech startup Truemeds will raise approximately US$44 million in a series C funding round, according to regulatory filings.
The round is led by Accel India VII (Mauritius) Ltd and includes contributions from WestBridge Alternative Investment Fund I, Konark Trust, MMPL Trust, and IE Venture Fund Follow-on I (IEVF).
Truemeds, founded by Akshat Nayyar and Kunal Wani, intends to use the new funding to expand its operations and support growth efforts.
The platform helps users identify affordable alternatives to prescribed medications, with a focus on generic options.
