Indian health-food brand raises $3.4m series A

Salad Days, a health-focused food brand in India, has raised 30 crore rupees (around US$3.4 million) in a series A funding round co-led by V3 Ventures and Client Associates Alternate Fund.

This is the company’s first institutional funding after over a decade of operating as a bootstrapped and profitable business.

The funds will be used to expand Salad Days’ omnichannel presence by opening new stores and enhancing technology.

The company plans to invest in talent acquisition, marketing initiatives, menu innovations, and explore additional sales channels.

Basic Roots Consulting served as the exclusive advisor for this transaction.

Founded in 2014 by Varun Madan, Salad Days operates 25 cloud kitchens and 12 outlets across Delhi-NCR, with 9 in Bengaluru and 4 in Mumbai.
