Infosys has reported an 8.7% rise in net profit for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, reaching 6,921 crore rupees (US$802.2 million).

Revenue for the quarter grew by 7.5% year-on-year to 42,279 crore rupees (US$4.9 billion), driven by strong deal wins and growth in European markets.

The company revised its full-year revenue growth guidance between 1% and 3%, raising the lower end from 0%.

Infosys secured US$3.8 billion in large deal wins this quarter, up from US$2.6 billion in the previous quarter, aided by growth in financial services and manufacturing.

However, Infosys experienced a 1.6% sequential decline in net profit due to higher expenses.

Operating margins for the quarter were 20.8%, slightly down from 21.0% in the previous quarter.

Infosys added 210 employees this quarter as attrition rose to 14.4%, while it maintained its plan to hire 20,000 freshers despite ongoing macroeconomic headwinds.
