- The studio wants to make high-budget AAA titles, or large-scale video games with high development costs and polished production. It is using Unreal Engine 5, a widely used game-development software platform, and plans studios in India and the UK 2.
- Its global player license comes through Winners Alliance, a commercial group that helps athletes manage and license publicity rights, in partnership with the World Cricketers’ Association, the global players’ body for professional cricketers. The deal gives LightFury rights to player names, likenesses, and performance attributes for authenticity 2.
- That fits co-founder Karan Shroff’s vision to build the “Tencent of India,” a reference to the Chinese technology giant known for gaming and digital entertainment. The comment suggests plans that reach past one cricket game 3.

- Licenses covering more than 600 players also give LightFury an edge. Rival studios would face costly global licensing talks to match that access 2.
