Indian IT firm LTIMindtree bets big on new AI unit, CEO says

LTIMindtree, Indian IT services company, is increasing its focus on AI with investments in a new platform called BlueVerse, said CEO Venugopal Lambu.

BlueVerse, launched in June, provides digital assistants designed to help companies implement AI solutions.

“The conversation around AI is getting serious,” Lambu said in an interview. “That’s the big green shoot I see.”

The company is seeing more demand for smaller, AI-driven projects that generate quick revenue, while AI is also becoming a key part of larger contracts.

Revenue from LTIMindtree’s top five clients fell in the latest quarter, as these clients seek cost savings from AI-driven productivity improvements.

The size of the company’s AI investment has not been disclosed.
